Join a Yoga Class

We offer a variety of classes to suit every stage of life. Here’s a glimpse into what we offer:

  • I’ve never done yoga before does that matter?
No! At My Yogi Tribe all of our classes are accessible to everyone. There are always options to step it up or down and we are very good at reading the class ability and adapting accordingly.
  • I am not very good at yoga does that matter?
Definitely not. Being ‘good’ at yoga is not about being able to touch your toes or doing fancy poses. Our classes are more about how yoga feels in your body. It’s important to us that we make each classes accessible to all ages, sizes and abilities. We have a real mix of people in every class so you’ll be sure to never feel like the odd one out.
  • Are your classes just for women?
Yes we are women only classes. The reason is that there’s a certain kind of magic that happens when women come together. We are all about women supporting women and love creating safe spaces for women to come to feel completely themselves.
  • When can I start mum & baby yoga?
We recommend you wait until 6 weeks post vaginal birth and 8 week post cesarean birth, or until you feel ready in your own body.
  • I’ve never done yoga before does that matter?
No! Mum & baby yoga is easy to follow and gentle on your body. We focus on rebuilding your BAPs, back, abs and pelvic floor muscles.
  • What if my baby cries/sleeps/feeds/poos during class?
You’ll be in good company! The class is very relaxed and you can just dip in and out when you can. Each week is different, so there is no stress if baby is not playing ball.
  • When can I start aquanatal yoga?
We recommend you wait until your 12 week scan before starting classes. Unless you have a regular yoga practice then you can start you sooner.
  • I’ve never done yoga before does that matter?
No! Aquanatal yoga is very slow and easy to follow. The majority of the ladies in class have never done yoga before.
  • I can’t swim/not very good at swimming does that matter?
No. The class is done in chest height water with woggles. There is no free swimming in the class, all the swim strokes are adapted to use the woggle. There is an option to go in the deeper end if you are comfortable but again with the support of the woggle. Our instructors are fully trained in water safety and will look after you. When new ladies join the class we always practice basic water safety moves too to get you more comfortable in the water.
  • When can I start pregnancy yoga?
We recommend you wait until your 12 week scan before starting classes. Unless you have a regular yoga practice then you can start you sooner.
  • I’ve never done yoga before does that matter?
No! Pregnancy yoga is very slow and easy to follow. The majority of the ladies in class have never done yoga before.
  • Are the classes pay as you go or blocks?
They are block based. But you are welcome to come and trial one class for £12.50 before committing to a 6 week block.
  • Do your blocks start on certain dates?
No we have rolling blocks, meaning you can join us any week we have space. Once you join in a block you are guaranteed your space until you want to give it up.
  • Do the weeks need to be consecutive in the block?
Ideally yes, but we know life gets busy and you may have pre arranged plans. So if at the time of booking you let us know the dates you can’t make we can block them out and add them to the end of the block for you. If you miss a class that hasn’t been pre booked out, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances I”m afraid they aren’t carried over. However where we can we will offer you an alternate class in the same week where there is space. We also have online videos that you can do at home to catch up.
  • How long can I attend your class before birth?
All the way up until you have your baby! We have ladies coming to class past their due date, as long as you feel able to you’re welcome to attend as long as you like. (There is a pay as you go option towards the end of pregnancy)
